Incorporated in late 2012 by a group of international plant breeders and experts in energy, economic development, finance, and technology, Bioenergy and Agricultural Solution, Inc. (BEASI) is an early-stage company intending to provide a significant net return. The company is based in Delaware, USA, and will start a “Pilot Operation” in Cameroon, Central Africa.
BEASI will develop and diversify an agribusiness model to provide a sustainable, scalable business for future return on investment (ROI) and will lead the development of model farms that will incorporate co-cultivation of energy feedstock and staple crops on the same land space as a model for a new industry in sub-Saharan Africa.
Bioenergy and Agricultural Solution, Inc, was set up precisely to mobilize human and financial resources from around the globe, specifically in the USA, to 1) spur investment in agricultural development, especially in rural areas, and bio-fuel and associated co-products production and commercialization in Sub Saharan Africa (SSA). BEASI’s major goal is to contribute in the development of aggressive bio-energy production in SSA and to participate in meeting increasing bio-fuel demands worldwide.
BEASI’s agricultural arm will enable us to design project for agricultural development in Africa with the emphasis on creating a nexus between agricultural development and clean energy; For example we are developing a project for a “Model and Sustainable Farm” in Africa where we will plan both Plantain and Palm oil in the same farm on a large scale to take advantage of the land, natural resources, and generate dual income from same land from major agricultural and feedstocks commodities. All agricultural waste from the farms will be converted to by-product such as bioethanol, renewable cooking kerosene, biogas, and solar panel will be incorporated to have an energy-neutral processing plant. Other BEASI farm model is to develop an integrated bio-fuel production platform using a giant sweet potato recently developed in the USA, and suitable only for biofuel production, and sweet sorghum as feedstocks on an industrial scale for bio-ethanol production in SSA.
The company intends to grow and cultivate these agricultural crops and feedstock sources for biofuel while it accelerates an early revenue stream through the sale of complementary cover crops, global university-based training programs, co-products from the land clearing and agribusiness, and carbon and clean development credits. Ancillary revenue streams include commercial development of glycerol, biogas, and organic fertilizer, agricultural wastes to fuels to bioelectricity which will support a strong investor ROI. BEASI’s intends also to develp a business model to upcycle abondan plastic wastes to generate various commodities products for the African markets.
BEASI’s overall goal is to provide a new source of income to farmers, local communities, and residents participating in the production of raw materials for the bio-refinery and agricultural processing plant; and provide opportunities for the growth and development of the entire country and region.By 2024, BEASI expects to be the first US-based energy company in Central Africa to have designed and implemented a sustainable rural development model that:
Enhances regional agriculture,
- Supplies a locally sourced bio-fuel to replace gasoline and cooking fuels, and
- Raises the standard of living of Central Africans, specifically Cameroonians.
- BEASI is seeking US $2 M in equity financing to launch its Pilot Program in Cameroon
