About Us

Our Mission

The time is here that we make decisions that are proactive and have long-lasting effects. There is no second opinion that the need to make agricultural and industrial processes innovative and more energy efficient is high today.
This is our mission:

  • Develop a sustainable and commercially feasible biomass chain for sweet potatoes and sweet sorghum.
  • Contribute to the development of knowledge on the sustainable production method of biofuels and associated co-products.
  • Provide local support for policy and sustainability criteria for bio-ethanol production from sweet sorghum and sweet potato.
  • Develop a farmer and local community participatory approach for sustained production and commercialization of biofuels and associated co-products from sweet sorghum and energy sweet potato in Africa.
  • Develop model farms where the cultivation of two major commodities will be grown on the same land as a new model for natural resources management and increase incomes for large scale farming.
  • Develop energy neutral model farms by replacing traditional energy sources with renewables such solar, biogas from conversion of agricultural wastes such as different combinations of plantain wastes (leaf, pseudo-stem and pseudo-stem + leaf) and biooil from Pongamia seeds to bioelectricity and cooking oil for rural populations.
  • Identify transformative technologies to permanently remove plastic wastes from the environment such as plastic conversion to biofuels, bio-based chemicals, biomaterials, household fuels like biodiesels, biolubricants, and proteins for humans and animals diets, negotiate licensing with developers for deployment in Africa.
  • Mobilize financial resources and business partners around the globe to accelerate the implementation of biofuel and agricultural related projects in SSA.
  • Contribute to the alleviation of global warming effects on agricultural, health, and economic development in SSA.
  • Partners with African governmental agencies and other advocacy groups to advocate for adoption, deployment and expansion of low carbon emission technologies in the continent.
  • Increase advocacy for implementation of blending policy for renewable bioethanol in Africa.
  • Identify transformative technologies that supports circular bio economy, negotiate licensing with developers for deployment in Africa.
